Michele Quan designs and sculpts art & objects for the garden and home. Originally from Vancouver BC, she moved to NYC in 1984 to study graphic design & photography at Parsons School of Design. 12 years prior to embarking on her current medium of clay, Quan worked in metal co-founded the NYC jewelry company Me&Ro. Cornerstones of her work are ceramics garlands assembled on hemp rope with cotton tassels. She also creates sculptures of iconic objects- all become a canvas for her love of drawing, painting, text and color. She currently works from her studio in Brooklyn and lives in NYC with her husband, 8-year-old daughter and dog, Sparrow.
